About:
Mrs. Freeman's passion for the arts spanned multiple decades as both a creative and a teacher. Her innate talents, combined with her spirituality, created a powerful, dynamic, and colorful expressions.
In addition to holding a Master of Fine Arts in Painting from Howard University, Mrs. Freeman studied at Columbus College of Art & Design, Corcoran College of Art & Design, and The Sculpture Center in New York City.
As an exhibit coordinator and longtime art instructor for the District of Columbia public school system, Mrs. Freeman shared her love of art with countless young artists through her infectious energy and dedication.
Her commissioned work can be seen in private collections around the globe, from California to New York and the beautiful island of Dominica.
Mrs. Freeman is survived by 3 children and 12 grandchildren who carry on her love for the arts and creative expression everyday.
